Vaccination of Firefighters advances in São Brás de Alportel

Half of the Corporation has already received the 1st dose of the vaccine

In compliance with the National Vaccination Plan against COVID-19, 24 firefighters from the Humanitarian Association of São Brás de Alportel received this Thursday, February 11, the first dose of the vaccine. The vaccination took place at the São Brás de Alportel Health Center, administered by nurses from the Algarve Regional Health Administration.

The 24 peacekeepers correspond exactly to 50% of the fire brigade in São Paulo, which continues its daily mission to support the population, in the most diverse missions.

According to information from the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the national vaccination order of the approximately 15 thousand firefighters was defined based on operational criteria of the National Emergency and Civil Protection Authority and covers the universe of volunteers, sappers, and municipalities distributed across the 18 districts of the continent.

In the path of institutional collaboration and networking, which is a constant practice of the Municipality of São Brás de Alportel, the Mayor, Vitor Guerreiro, recognizing the crucial importance of vaccination in combating the pandemic, has already expressed to the health authorities the full availability of the municipality to collaborate in the implementation of the vaccination plan, through the provision of spaces, logistics and human resources.
