Valter Lobo will tour Brazil

The singer and composer Valter Lobo arrive in Brazil, in May, for a tour around the country.

Valter Lobo wants to “strengthen the ties I have created with Brazil and its people in general, but especially with musicians, producers, and agents of the music scene.” Brazil’s cultural richness is one of the greatest inspirations for the artist, who this audience hears him “from a distance.” “I get closer to him and I hear him too. I always try to know how to listen and create intimate relationships with the public”, he says.

The Portuguese singer-songwriter hopes that this trip will allow him not only to promote his work more but also to put down roots, “perhaps even through partnerships.” The concerts are solo, but they are not based only on voice and guitar: “It is a meeting in which a group of people connects for a reason greater than listening to music for a few minutes. It is voice, guitar, whistle, some vintage drum machines, a monologue that turns into dialogue, happy and sad things, a spark of friendship”, explains Valter Lobo who will tour Brazil.

Valter Lobo’s first album, Mediterraneo (2016), has already become a cult album in the independent scene in Portugal. Tracks such as Oeste, ‘Oeste, Quem me dera’, ‘Guarda-me esta noite’ or ‘O Governo não sabe nada do nosso amor’ confirm Valter Lobo as a reference composer, who follows his path as a well-kept secret, even though he has already shared the stage with artists such as Glen Hansard and Scott Matthew.

On his second album, Primeira parte de um assalto (2022), Valter Lobo presents songs that romantically portray the author’s view of the world, always tempered by a well-known melancholy by his public.
