The band Vampire Weekend will perform at the Coliseum in Lisbon on November 26th as part of the tour of the latest album, “Father Of The Bride”, promoter Everything is New.
After the show at the Alive festival last Friday in Algés, the ‘indie rock’ group will present their fourth album of original songs.
The album, composed of 18 tracks, was released in May by the Columbia Records label in New York.
“Harmony Hall”, “Spring Show”, “Married in a Gold Rush” and “Father of the Bride”, which will be presented in November. “Flower Moon” and “Stranger”.
The American band, founded in 2006, is composed of Ezra Koenig, vocalist, and guitarist, drummer Chris Tomson, bassist Chris Baio, and guitarist Rostam Batmanglij.
Vampire Weekend are the authors of “A-Punk”, “Cape Cod Kwassa Kwassa”, “Mansard Roof” and “Oxford Comma” that “stayed in the mouths of the world and guaranteed the band a very strong legion of fans”, says the promoter.
The albums “Vampire Weekend”, released in 2008, “Contra”, 2010 and “Modern Vampires of the City”, of 2013, gave the band the title of “classic case of love for the first album”.
The British newspaper The Guardian defines them as “a band that goes beyond limits with impressive results”.
Tickets for the concert at the Coliseum in Lisbon will be on sale from July 19 and can cost between 30 euros and 36 euros.
