Vânia Duarte presents us with her new album, the homonym, published by the Fado Museum.
«Fados and songs of love, attachment and vulnerability. It is a reflection of perspectives between dream and reality, affirmation and passivity! And we let history happen », says the fado singer about this album, with which she presents herself for the first time as a composer.
Born in Benavente, it was in Lisbon that Vânia Duarte surrendered to the fado universe. She has been part of the permanent cast of Casa de Linhares for 18 years, a fado house in Alfama which she has since become the owner. In this record, she shares her story, inspired by many fado nights.
Vânia Duarte will be accompanied by Bruno Keychain on Portuguese guitar — who is also the producer of the record — João Domingos on fado viola, José Ganchinho on bass guitar, Eduardo Espinho on electric guitar and Sertório Calado on percussion.
To watch it live at CCB’s Small Auditorium, or online, on the BOL platform.
