The fado singer presented her new work at the CCB, a concert in which ineews was present, an album that was born from a challenge launched by Bruno Keychain who accompanied her on stage, on a night where Fado was King, and Vânia, the Queen who enchanted the audience present.
Published by the Museu do Fado, produced by Bruno Keychain and by the fado singer Raquel Tavares, his friend, this album follows his debut album, ‘Efeito do Amor‘ from 2011, in ‘Vânia Duarte‘ with the collaboration of Bruno Chaveiro, Raquel Tavares, André Dias, Jorge Fernando, José Fialho Gouveia and Custódio Castelo.
Vânia Duarte, who with her smile and sympathy conquers any audience, was presenting her new album, in which she launches herself as a composer for the first time, ‘A Maria‘ with lyrics by Vânia and music by Bruno Chaveiro, ‘A Marcelina‘, lyrics by you and by Raquel Tavares, who also signs the music, ‘Fado Primeiro‘ and ‘Trama‘, lyrics by Vânia and music by André Dias.
Jorge Fernando is the author of ‘Quem Diria‘ and the lyrics of ‘Não Sei Ler-te o Coração’ in the traditional melody of ‘Fado Perseguição’, by Carlos da Maia, by José Fialho Gouveia is the theme ‘Sem Raízes‘ in ‘Fado Céu‘, by Chaveiro.
The fado singer, born in Benavente, surrendered to fado when she came to Lisbon, at the age of 18 she was already part of the Casa de Linhares, a fado house in Alfama that she now owns.
Vânia Duarte was accompanied on stage by Bruno Chaveiro on Portuguese guitar, João Domingos on fado viola, José Ganchinho on bass guitar, Eduardo Espinho on electric guitar and Sertório Calado on percussion.
