The vegan universe returns to Lisbon today with an exhibition of products, lectures, seminars and cooking demonstrations, at an event presented as the largest in Europe to introduce plant-based food.
Veggie World Lisbon takes place today and Sunday at the Patio da Galé with 50 exhibitors, with more than 3,400 visitors expected, the number reached in the first edition in April.
The organization promises to present the latest news of the vegan lifestyle and discuss various topics. How to maintain a healthy diet, how to encourage and empower consumers and how to trigger changes to increase supply are some of the expected approaches, along with ethical and environmental issues.
Food specialists, researchers and activists will be present.
During the event will be released the book “Because we like dogs, we eat pigs and we dress cows – An introduction to the carnism”, of Melanie Joy. The presentation is in charge of the deputy PAN, André Silva.
