Gabriella Valdes, known professionally as Vella, has just released the single “River Styx,” the fifth song from her upcoming album. “All My Love” will be released on September 26th.
“When I wrote this song, I felt a certain dissociation inside me and wanted to capture that. It’s about being lost within yourself and trying to free yourself from that feeling. ‘River Styx’ comes from Greek mythology; the river symbolises the feeling of loss and transition, and it seemed like a perfect title for the song.” – Vella
Born and raised in Tampa, Florida, Vella grew up immersed in the timeless sounds of ABBA and The Beatles. Currently based in Los Angeles, Vella first gained public attention with her passionate performances on TikTok, garnering millions of followers and nearly 100 million streams across all platforms. Throughout 2025, Vella has been releasing a series of songs that will culminate in her new album, All My Love, out September 26th. The song received strong radio airplay in Germany (reaching #66 on the radio charts), Sweden (#42), Poland (#88), Denmark, and the US. “All My Love” was followed by the singles “Settle Down,” “Flow,” and “Freedom.”
