On May 30th, the El Olivo Restaurant at Meliá Braga Hotel & Spa will be the setting for a new Wine Dinner, which will provide a sensory journey through Portuguese regions and traditions, through a harmonious dialogue between creative dishes and the excellent wines of Quinta de Ventozelo.
This wine and food experience will begin with the dish “Divagar pelas região” (Wandering through the regions), consisting of mackerel and sea migas with asparagus. It will be accompanied by the fresh and expressive Malvasia Fina 2023.
This will be followed by “A nossa costa” (Our Coast), marked by a delicate sea bass loin in a light stew, which will be served with the elegant Viosinho 2024.
Direct from the interior of the region, “O Minho” will be presented, a stew made with local and noble beans from the Cachena region, served with braised mimo and a touch of orange. It will be paired with the 2022 Blend.
To end on a sweet note, guests will be surprised with a dessert of pumpkin, cheese ice cream and snow, entitled “A estrela”. It will be accompanied by the sophisticated 2014 Colheita.
For €47.50 per person, this exclusive dinner celebrates the richness of Portuguese flavours and the excellence of the wines from this original Douro estate, in an elegant and welcoming atmosphere.
