“Vida”, the lead single from Jorge Palma’s new album features a video clip by André Tentugal.
“The song that gives the album its name was written one night when I was alone in the living room of my house. I picked up the acoustic guitar and it came out. Meanwhile, I invited my old friend and great musician Júlio Pereira to play two more acoustic ones and I gave Filipe Melo, for whom I have great sympathy and admiration, the arrangement of a small chamber orchestra. He threw himself tooth and nail and the result is what you can hear”, explains Jorge Palma.
“Vida” is the lead single from the new album by the musician and composer, “VIDA“, the desired and long-awaited successor to “Com Todo o Respeito” (2011), which comes out on April 28th in a special edition – with a box which, in addition to the disc, will have a facsimile of the first draft of the song that gives the disc its name, and even a booklet in book format, with unique and documentary photographs of the recording process and rehearsals.
The music video for “Vida” was directed by André Tentugal. “A visual ode to existentialism through intimate fragments of the lives of a set of distinct characters and a poetic journey into their feelings: love, nostalgia, loneliness, passion, grudge. A realistic, visually expressionist experimental novel that tries to pay homage to the human condition” , describe.
“LIFE
CAUSE OF ALL CAUSES
PRINCIPLE OF ALL PRINCIPLE
END OF ALL ENDINGS
BORN IN ME”
The presentation concert of “VIDA” is scheduled for the 6th of May at the Convento de São Francisco, in Coimbra. Tickets are now on sale at the usual places.
Live, Jorge Palma will count on the presence of some of the album’s guests.
