Vila do Bispo marks the Day of the Elderly with a concert of the Centenary of Amália Rodrigues

On October 1st, the International Day of the Elderly is commemorated, to mark the date the municipality of Vila do Bispo receives the concert of the Centenary of Amália Rodrigues: Uma História de Vida (1920-2020).

This show will take place on October 3, at 4:30 pm, at the Vila do Bispo Cultural Center, where the famous songs of Amália Rodrigues will be sung by Pedro Miguel Nunes, accompanied by Artur Caldeira (Portuguese and classical guitar) and Daniel Walls (classical guitar and bass).

Presented by Vox Angelis, this concert aims not only to make known the music of Amália, her poets and her composers, but also the History of her Life, as well as the History of Fado and the History of Portuguese Culture in the 20th century .

Aimed at the population aged 60 years or over, participation in this show is free, subject to prior reservation of the place until October 1st.
