“Vinyl”, a tribute to Portuguese Music

Suzana Pragosa and Bruno Correia come together to bring to life “Vinyl”, an innovative project that celebrates the greatest successes of Portuguese music from the last five decades.

Based on an original idea by Suzana, who invited Bruno to form this duo, “Vinyl” was born from the desire to revisit timeless themes that remain in the collective memory and continue to move the public.

The opening song for this project is “Vou Levar-te Comigo”, an emblematic song by Duo Ouro Negro. This song is known for its catchy melody and lyrics that talk about love, unity and the importance of interpersonal relationships. It is an example of how music can serve as a means of connecting people, transcending barriers and promoting peace and harmony.

Vinyl also covered Jorge Fernando’sUmbadá”, which is considered a significant work in Portuguese music, and won the 1985 Festival da Canção.

The repertoire presented by “Vinyl” reinvents these iconic songs with a contemporary sound, adapted to the present day. The versions are given new life through modern arrangements that integrate harmonies of classical orchestral instruments and traditional elements of Portuguese popular music. The fusion with contemporary electronic music and urban rhythms adds renewed energy, creating a unique and immersive sound experience.
