Viseu receives the end of the third stage of the ‘Volta a Portugal’
Viseu will receive the end of the third stage of the Volta a Portugal, which takes place on September 30, and the departure of the cyclists the following day.
However, a special edition of Volta a Portugal, in a model without audience, with television broadcasting, following the guidelines due to covid-19 and aiming to safeguard the modality and the maintenance of the cycling teams, will have the support of the municipality of Viseuu.
Almeida Henriques said that the amounts involved in this support from the municipality (35 thousand euros) will be much lower than in other years and transformed into a protocol to be signed with the Portuguese Cycling Federation, which will also include “Cycling goes to school” and the promotion of healthy tourist activity.
The race, whose special edition of 2020 will be played between September 27 and October 5, organized by FPC, will have its course revealed until the end of the month.
