The Portuguese Vítor Lopes concluded Wednesday the first round of the Andalucía Challenge de Cádiz in golf in the seventh position, by making the course in 70 strokes (two below the par of the course).
Lopes made a lap with excellent seven birdies (one stroke below the hole pair), but was slightly hampered by the ‘bogey’ (one above) and the two double-bogeys added along the way.
A little below was the other Portuguese present in the Spanish tournament, Ricardo Melo Gouveia, who made a lap inside the field pair, with four birdies, two bogeys, and a double-bogey.
Irishman Niall Kearney leads the tournament with a total of 66 strokes (six below), two less than second-placed Spaniard Jacobo Pastor.
