Vitoria SC lost but impressed in London

Portuguese team was winning until 79 minutes, but the entry of the French midfielder everything changed at Emirates Stadium.

Vitoria SC scored a defeat in Thursday’s visit to Arsenal (2-3) in matchday three of the Europa League group stage. The Victorian team were winning until 79 minutes but saw Pépé spoil the Portuguese party in London

The French midfielder came in on 75 minutes and was just in time to make a dramatic somersault in the scoring after scoring Arsenal’s second and third goals.

The result turns out to be tremendously unfair for Ivo Vieira’s ensemble who performed at a great level in the middle of Europe, especially in the first half.

Arsenal: Martínez; Bellerin, Mustafi, Holding, Tierney; Torreira, Willock; Maitland-Nilles, Martinelli; Smith Rowe and Lacazette.
Vitória SC: Miguel Silva; Victor Garcia, Frederick Venancio, Tapsoba, Hanin; Agu, Poha, André Almeida; Edwards, Davidson and Bruno Duarte.
