Volkswagen created a robot to help charge electric cars

Volkswagen shared a video where it reveals how its robot capable of charging electric cars will work and which may be integrated into dedicated charging spaces.

In the video you can see the robot charging a battery and connecting it to the car. Once loaded, the robot can do the same in other vehicles available in the same space. Note that all operation is autonomous, so the robot only needs to be activated using an app or through the vehicle itself.

Volkswagen has yet to say when it plans to make this robot available in loading areas, but it is possible that it will start making it available in 2021.
