Warhaus presents the new album in Portugal in 2025

Warhaus, the parallel project of Maarten Devoldere, vocalist of Balthazar, announces the Karaoke Moon Tour with a stop in Portugal under his name: April 27 at Aula Magna, in Lisbon, and April 28 at Casa da Música, in Porto.

Tickets are available on October 9 at 10:00 AM, at everythingisnew.pt and usual locations.

Exactly two years after Ha Ha Heartbreak, Warhaus is back with Karaoke Moon, the new album that names the band’s tour and is set to be released on November 12 of this year. It is an album that breaks away from the atmosphere of the first work, and surprises from the start, with the first single “Where The Names Are Real.” The track begins modestly but quickly transforms into a declaration of love with Devoldere’s sensual voice, accompanied by an engaging musical arrangement. The album, the result of two years of disciplined work, reflects the maturity and confidence Devoldere has gained over the years, especially in his collaboration with producer Jasper Maekelberg.

In Karaoke Moon, Devoldere explores themes such as masculinity and vulnerability with a sharp and ironic approach, with songs that cleverly challenge conventions and stereotypes, accompanied by sophisticated arrangements with strings, piano, and choirs that add depth to his music. The album moves between the smooth and the energetic, reflecting on emotional complexities and offering a rich and multifaceted musical experience.

With literary references and sounds ranging from soul to disco, Karaoke Moon is a work in which the songs vary between introspective moments and vibrant, danceable arrangements, showcasing Warhaus‘ versatility. The album captures the essence of Devoldere’s unique style, mixing the dark with the playful, and offering an intriguing and immersive sonic experience.
