Web Summit returns with almost 110 thousand online connected and 800 speakers
Web Summit kicks off today, December 2nd, and runs until the end of the week. The technology summit, which should have brought together several hundred people in Lisbon, is taking place 100% online because of the pandemic.
The work is scheduled to start at 12 noon, with three interventions on the agenda: the founder of Web Summit, Paddy Cosgrave, the Mayor of Lisbon, Fernando Medina, and the Prime Minister, António Costa.
The organization of the technology summit expects 110,000 to connect to the Web Summit, which moved to the Portuguese capital in 2016.
The event, which moved from Dublin to the Portuguese capital in 2016, attracts around 70,000 attendees each year, with speakers from technology companies and global startups, as well as politicians.
