Martifer announced today that it has been awarded to its subsidiary West Sea a contract for the construction of two ships of a polar expedition, worth 118 million euros.
In a statement sent today to the Securities and Exchange Commission (CMVM), Martifer SGPS reports “the award to its subsidiary West Sea Estaleiros Navais, Unipessoal, Lda, for Mystic Cruises of a contract for the construction of two shipping vessels Polar, with a total estimated value of 118 million euros. ”
According to the document, the “Ice Class” Explorer Class “Ice” ships will be built on the Polar Code (ice class) and equipped with a hybrid propulsion system, with a capacity of 200 passengers and 112 crew members.
