Hard Club, in Porto, hosted the first edition of Axisrock Fest on November 1st, a celebration of the new generation of Portuguese rock. The event brought together four bands – Wildchains, Wild Puppets, The Quinces, and Break Even.
Among the performances, the Braga-based Wildchains stood out as the highlight of the night. The band performed in top form, with contagious energy and a dynamic show that kept the venue nearly full and the audience engaged from start to finish.

The quintet’s show confirmed the group’s artistic maturity and the impact their independent approach has been achieving. Without the support of record labels, promoters, or imprints, Wildchains have consolidated their position as one of the most genuine and consistent forces in the new national rock scene. Their performance at Hard Club reinforced the connection with the audience and demonstrated that a new generation of bands is building the future of Portuguese rock — with authenticity, ambition, and a genuine connection with the public.

During and after the performance, the enthusiasm was evident both in the venue and on social media, with many describing the show as “one of the best rock shows of the year at Hard Club.” This response confirms the effect Wildchains have been having: a combination of intensity, emotion, and truth that transcends the stage.

“We’ve always been an independent band – no record labels, no promoters – but with a huge desire to be part of new challenges. We love collaborating, and tonight showed the power of when everyone pulls in the same direction,” the band shared after the show.
Performances by Wild Puppets, The Quinces, and Break Even completed a night of celebration and unity, showcasing the diversity and strength of the new wave of national rock. Axis Agency, in collaboration with Break Even, debuted in the festival’s production with an initiative that promises to return in the coming years.

Following this remarkable show, Wildchains are preparing for the release of their debut album in 2026, promising to continue elevating Braga’s name in the national rock scene and affirming their place as one of the most authentic and consistent bands of the new Portuguese generation.
