The month of October at Praia D’El Rey Marriott Golf & Beach Resort, a five-star resort located between Óbidos and Peniche, features a diverse culinary and cultural program, with highlights including the Wine Dinner at Emprata Restaurant, themed buffets at Tempera Restaurant, a special Halloween buffet, and the charity initiative You Eat We Give.
Emprata Presents Wine Dinner with Quinta do Gradil
On October 11th, the resort’s main restaurant, Emprata, will host a dinner that combines gastronomic tasting with wine and cocktail pairings. This Wine Dinner is in partnership with Quinta do Gradil, which is responsible for the evening’s wine selections. The menu, created specifically for this occasion, will also be accompanied by signature cocktails, in a meeting designed to showcase flavours and creativity. The event begins at 7:00 pm and costs 70 euros per person. Space is limited and reservations are required.
Buffet Series with Oriental Novelties and a Special Halloween Night
Throughout the month, the Tempera restaurant presents a series of themed dinner buffets (7:00 p.m.–10:30 p.m.) dedicated to different gastronomic traditions. On Mondays, the restaurant serves a Tex-Mex buffet, on Tuesdays an Italian buffet, and on Wednesdays, an Oriental buffet inspired by typical Asian dishes and aromas, from the most subtle seasonings to intense spice combinations. On Thursdays, a South American buffet is served, on Fridays an Atlantic buffet, on Saturdays a Portuguese buffet, and on Sundays, the Chef’s Buffet.
Among the options, the Special Halloween Buffet is also a highlight, on Friday, October 31st, at 7:00 p.m. The dinner recreates the atmosphere of one of the most iconic nights of autumn, with a Halloween-inspired menu, themed dishes, creative desserts, and the inevitable “spooky treats.” The cost is R$38 per person, free for children up to 5 years old and with a 50% discount for ages 6 to 11.
Solidarity initiative in support of CASA – Homeless Support Center
During this same period, Emprata is participating in the You Eat We Give solidarity initiative, which combines gastronomy and social responsibility. For each meal served, 1 euro will be donated to CASA – Homeless Support Center, an institution that provides food, social, and housing support to people in vulnerable situations. The initiative runs until the end of the month and covers all customers who dine at Emprata.
Live music, workshops, and experiences at Oceano Bar
Oceano Bar celebrates its Double Friday initiative every Friday, between 5:00 PM and 6:00 PM, with a free second drink or meal with every order. The agenda also includes wine, cocktail, and Port wine workshops, tailored to groups and special occasions, and live music sessions on Fridays and Saturdays from 7:30 pm to 10:30 pm.
Spa and activities for all ages
Kalyan Spa is offering the Indulgence Ritual in October, a 120-minute treatment (€220) that combines exfoliation, seaweed wrap, facial cleansing, and full-body massage, and the 30-minute Papaya Purée Scrub (€65), focused on skin smoothness and revitalization.
The Health Club offers stretching classes on Wednesdays and cycling classes on Mondays, both at 11 am and free for guests, as well as yoga sessions on Thursdays.
For younger guests, the Rey Kids Club is open daily from 10 am to 6 pm, with activities geared towards school-age children.
