Wine2Help initiative will bring together the Portuguese wine sector to debate wine challenges

It is already on the 26th and 27th of March that Wine2Help will take place, the online symposium that aims to bring together the wine sector to discuss the main obstacles and opportunities of the national wine industry, in the reality of the pandemic and post-covid scenario.

Under the motto “Listen, Rethink and Act”, the initiative promises to be a real sharing of experiences and contributions from specialists, aimed not only at professionals in the area but at all those interested in knowing more about the sector.

In addition to a set of thematic debates, on topical topics in the sector, the Wine2Help initiative will also count on online tastings and specialized support forums for professionals and consumers, among other items for those looking to learn more about the world of wines.

For the event’s organizer, Rodrigo Quina, “this Symposium will bring to the discussion a set of current topics in the sector, but above all what is intended is that during these two days there will be real moments of sharing and learning. I am confident that, with the presence of personalities with such diverse experiences, the conclusions can bring a new breath to the world of wines and I also believe that soon we will see the emergence of more creative projects and innovative ways of working”.

On the first day of the event, topics such asDigital Marketing in the Wine Sector – Trends and Strategies”, “Oenology – Sustainability, Trends and Technologies” and “Challenges of Producing Companies in the National and International Market” will be discussed. On the 27th, “Distance Learning in the World of Wine – Possibilities and Challenges”, “Export – Evolution of Markets in Covid and Post-Covid Scenario” and “Role of the Sommelier in the Wine Business” will be the major topics under discussion.

The Symposium will feature strong names related to the wine sector, such as Ana Sofia de Oliveira (The Wine Agency UK), Cláudia Paiva (Quinta de Pancas), Cláudio Martins (Martins Wine), Frederico Falcão (Viniportugal), Gilberto Igrejas ( IVDP), Gonçalo Patraquim (Turismo de Portugal), Luís Vieira (Parras Group), Osvaldo Amado (Global Wines), Sandra Tavares da Silva (Wine and Soul), among others.

Among the partners of the initiative, we highlight the Douro and Porto Wine Institute (IVDP), the communication agency Message in a Bottle, the Portugal-Hong Kong Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PHKCCI), Rotom Portugal and also Viniportugal.

The event also has a social responsibility aspect through collaboration with the Johnson Academy, a non-profit organization that promotes the development and social integration of children and young people in the neighborhoods of the Cova da Moura area.
