“Endless Road” is the first single from It Happens Because We Are, Not Because We Exist, Wipeout Beat’s third album, released on June 11th.
It comes with an enigmatic and dark video, but with a certain atmosphere and beat.
Wipeout Beat will be performing on August 16th at Praça do Comércio in Coimbra as part of the Summer at Two Times Cycle.
Being, non-being, feeling, existing, and living. How many of us know the difference between these definitions that shape our daily lives? The focus is on awareness and the will we have to live in communion with ourselves and our ideals, following our principles and fighting for our dreams. Otherwise, we are just another number, a person existing among many others.
Wipeout Beat’s new album is a manifesto! The sound that composes it could only have happened this way—not by calculation, but by necessity!

The title It Happens Because We Are, Not Because We Exist comes from a philosophical movement: accidentalism. Accidentalism was promoted by Bruno Simões (You’re Disgusting, Sean Riley), and the reference to this philosophy is a tribute to this great friend. It’s a way of saying that the world doesn’t follow predictable or comfortable paths, but rather events that happen by chance.
Wipeout Beat’s third album is raw, direct, without clichés, embellishments, or unnecessary virtuosity. It’s the sound of the moment happening, without asking permission.
It feeds on punk energy, draws from the electro spirit, the synthwave aesthetic, and the hypnotic pulse of krautrock. At the same time, there are echoes of the minimalism of artists like Philip Glass and Steve Reich, where repetition is a form of sonic meditation. You can also feel Suicide’s raw, industrial heritage, with Wipeout Beat’s signature lo-fi touch. All of this filtered through his old war buddy: a Roland CR-8000 drum machine, which dictates the beat with mechanical stubbornness and undeniable groove.
The songs aren’t concerned with being accessible or easy. They’re dense, demanding, and demanding. But those who accept the invitation find an entire world to be explored. A universe where sound is living matter, where “half-joking” keyboards become emotional weapons, and where the guitar and vocals don’t command, they float.
Recorded amid jams, improvisations, and sonic obsessions, this third LP takes risks and provokes. It presents songs constructed like constantly shifting landscapes, where repetition becomes a journey. It’s not just music—it’s texture, it’s tension, it’s liberation! These are pieces where each layer is laid with intention, but always with room for creative error, for the raw emotion that only exists in that moment when we press “record” and anything can happen.
This album is also a reflection of the freedom that only a mature band, without external pressures, can achieve. Wipeout Beat aren’t trying to prove anything. They’re simply existing, doing what they love: creating intense, honest, and unclassifiable music.
“This is the way it is because it had to be. It wouldn’t be the same if we followed the same paths already taken.”
The album is released by Lux Records and was released on June 11th.
