The Portuguese women’s team under-15 won the United States 2-0 today, securing the second win in group A of the CONCACAF Tournament, which takes place in Brandenton, Florida, United States.
After beating El Salvador 5-0 on Tuesday, the lusas were imposed on hosts Ana Assucena, with goals scored at 22 and 43 minutes, both from penalties.
Jose Paisana’s pupils, who lead isolated with six points, now face Jamaica on Friday.
The first qualifiers are set for the semi-finals on Saturday, as well as the best placed second in the three groups – the final is played on Monday.
In group B, Canada, Costa Rica, Panama and the Dominican Republic compete, while the C counts with young girls from Northern Ireland, Haiti, Mexico and Puerto Rico.
