Worten is once again investing in the world of gaming and Esports by sponsoring the new national competition for the game Call of Duty. The WGR PCL starts on the weekend of March 16th and 17th, at 4 pm, and will have the Worten Game Ring as a naming sponsor.

Competing will be eight teams from some of the main Esports organizations in Portugal.

“Our main objective, since we launched the Worten Game Ring, is to democratize the world of gaming and esports competitions. With these partnerships, we want, above all, to promote the growth of esports in Portugal, but also to continue to provide relevant content for the gaming community.”, says António Fuzeta da Ponte, Head of Brand and Communication at Worten. “Call of Duty is a game that has not yet been explored much from a competitive point of view in Portugal and, therefore, it made perfect sense for us to enter this competition and understand what this scenario has to offer”, he adds.

The first edition of the WGR PCL starts this weekend and will be broadcast on Worten’s Twitch channel. The final round is scheduled for April 21st when the big winner will be determined.

Competition dates:

  • March 16 (Saturday) and March 17 (Sunday)
  • March 23 (Saturday) and March 24 (Sunday)
  • March 30 (Saturday) and March 31 (Sunday)
