Worten Game Ring enters 2020 with big news. Worten’s gaming brand has just announced the sponsorship of two of the biggest national sports competitions: the Portuguese League of Legends (LoL) and the Portuguese Counter-Strike League (CS: GO), worth € 100,000 ( € 50,000 for each league).
[dropcap type=”background”]“B[/dropcap]elieve this is going to be a big year for Worten and national gaming,” says Antonio Fuzeta da Ponte, Worten’s Director of Brand and Communication. “This month, we announce sponsorship of these two major Esports leagues to help raise the quality of events and competitions while creating exciting and differentiating content for the Worten Game Ring branded gaming community.”, says the manager of Worten.
Worten Game Ring is, for the second year in a row, the title sponsor of the Portuguese League of Legends which, in 2020, presents a new format, hoping to further professionalize the practice of the game. In addition to raising the prize pool to € 50,000, the race is now split into two laps, with two winners and a grand final.
The 6th edition of WORTEN GAME RING LEAGUE PORTUGUESE LEAGUE OF LEGENDS starts this Saturday, January 18, with the eight best national teams: For The Win, with a squad designed to renew the title, keeping three of its players- key, and Electronik Generation, seen as the first team’s big rivals. Also noteworthy are the teams Boavista FC, which maintains the bet on the squad that, in 2019, finished on the podium, and Estoril Praia, who managed to climb to the main division.
