The temporary exhibition brings together new talents from the Bloom platforms of Portugal Fashion and Sangue Novo from ModaLisboa. Finalists of both competitions exhibit their work at the Fashion and Textiles Museum of the WOW.
WOW will unite the emerging talents of ModaLisboa and Portugal Fashion in a single space. Thus, whoever visits the Fashion and Textiles Museum, at WOW in Gaia, will have the opportunity to see the “Next Generation” exhibition.
The initiative will bring together, from November 12th to January 9th of next year, the work of the finalists of the two competitions held by Portugal Fashion and ModaLisboa, in a compliment to new national talents.
“We are proud, above all, to achieve one of the goals we set ourselves when, in May, we opened the Fashion and Textiles Museum: to be a stage for new designers. of discoveries of new talents, Bloom and New Blood. In this case, we would like to thank Portugal Fashion and ModaLisboa for their trust and collaboration. This exhibition reveals, today, the day of tomorrow in author fashion in Portugal”, highlights Alberto Tavares, general director of WOW.
With the endorsement of ModaLisboa, will be the coordinators of the five finalists of the 2021 edition of the Sangue Novo contest: Filipe Cerejo, Ivan Hunga Garcia, Maria Clara, Maria Curado and Veehana. From Portugal Fashion, there are six finalists in the Bloom Powered by Sonae Fashion Contest, whose projects will be presented in the exhibition: Marcelo Almiscarado and Maria Carlos Baptista (winners of the competition), Huarte (winner of the Honorable Mention Sonae Fashion) and also Ahcor, Rita Ibs and Kensal (finalists who were invited to join the Bloom platform, after participating in the contest).
