For two days, there is live music, racing tables and French for all tastes. The Frenchinha Festival will take place at VP, with the large terrace overlooking Porto.
At this event, eat your belly and eat your eyes. Is there a better way to celebrate Porto’s most iconic dish, if not with eyes on the Casario da Ribeira, Torre dos Clérigos and the Douro River?
On April 25th and 26th, WOW will promote the Frenchinha Festival at VP. This will be a time to celebrate one of the main delicacies of Portuguese cuisine. The traditional version will be the star of the menu, but there are more original variations, such as chicken, cod, seafood, vegetarian or pizza dough.
“In our T&C restaurant, we serve French all year round, in the traditional and vegetarian version. We face the French girl with the nobility she deserves and the ingredients of quality make all the difference. That’s why we chose the best steak and bought the sausages at Leandro Sausage Market. Also in the sauce, we use Port wine as a star ingredient. The result is sublime”, explains Cláudio Sousa. “In this Festival, which will take place at the VP, to welcome more people and to remind a good summer camp, we will make more options available. We will see if the Portuenses are faithful to the tradition or if they are available to try new flavours!”, admits the Chief and Director of the Restaurants of WOW.
In addition to the gastronomic arguments, music is guaranteed and promises to strengthen the authentic character of the festival. The menu of a French girl of choice, with potatoes included, and a drink (beer or soda) costs 15 euros and the password can be purchased in pre-sale on the WOW website or the days of the event on-site.
