Xavier Rudd at Coliseu dos Recreios this summer
Xavier Rudd is returning to Portugal to play this summer at the Coliseu dos Recreios in Lisbon. On August 28th, the acclaimed Australian singer and composer takes the stage at the emblematic Lisbon venue, with the “Freedom Sessions Tour”.
Tickets will be available on May 9th, at 10 am, at the usual locations and at everythingisnew.pt.
Xavier Rudd is presenting his new EP Freedom Sessions, his first release since his acclaimed 2022 album, Jan Juc Moon.
Of the work, Xavier says: “My first EP release in 25 years, ‘Freedom Sessions’, was created during a particularly unique time… and is a celebration of the blessing of ‘freedom’ – a simple state of being that We should all have the right to exist. It was a super interesting moment to record this song, through my introspective journey in the studio I learned, grew and freed myself.”
The EP includes four previously released singles, ‘World Order’, ‘High Times’, ‘Road Trippin” and ‘Free the People’, alongside their stunning new offering ‘Moments’.
“The last song you will hear on the EP is called ‘Moments’. This is a special song for me and the perfect way to deliver the rest of this song. Our lives are made up of moments that pass so quickly but shape so much. I think that the goal is to deal with our moments with truth and purpose to build solid foundations in this life.” says Xavier Rudd
This year Xavier goes on tour with the most complete solo show of his career, playing several instruments and fusing complex live loops and soundscapes throughout his new songs, which arrives at Coliseu dos Recreios in Lisbon, on August 28th.
