Xênia França’s tour will run from the 21st to the 30th of April and will also pass through several European stages.
Nominated for the Latin Grammy 2018 in the categories “Best Song in the Portuguese Language”, with “Pra que me chamas?”, and “Best Contemporary Pop Album” with her debut album “Xenia”, the Bahian singer-songwriter Xenia França collects praise from great music critics, such as the British Alex Robinson, from Songlines, who named her in 2022 as “the most exciting female singer and songwriter in Brazil in decades”.
With a particular sound, Xenia has self-affirmed its global musical identity by deconstructing traditional rhythms and uniting them with synthesizers, string arrangements, and sophisticated harmonies with references ranging from jazz to R&B.
Xenia was the first Brazilian artist to perform on the German channel “COLORS” in 2019, one of the most important contemporary music programs on YouTube today.
In recent years, the artist has performed at important Festivals, from the Brazilian ‘Rock in Rio’ where she shared the stage with Seal to the American Summerstage, in Central Park and also at Globalfest, which earned her an article in The New York Times.
In 2022, he presented “Em Nome da Estrela”, an album in which the Japanese website “Música Terra” summed it up well: Xenia França’s second album shows her more extravagant and fascinating than ever, mixing grooves and Brazilian instrumentation with warmth from neo-soul, psychedelic pop and much more. Em Nome da Estrela was selected as one of the best albums of 2022 by APCA and Folha de São Paulo, in addition to having the theme “Ancestral Infinito” listed in the top 10 best MPB songs on Spotify.
