Strategy Analytics’ latest report on the mobile market in Europe indicates that Xiaomi is the new sales leader, effectively overtaking Samsung during the second quarter of 2021.
Xiaomi sent 12.7 million mobile phones to stores and achieved a market ‘share’ of 25.3%, which corresponds to a growth of 67.1% compared to the same period last year.
Samsung, on the other hand, managed to ship 12 million mobile devices to stores and achieved a share of 24%, a decrease of 7% compared to the second quarter of 2021.
Next is Apple, with 9.6 million iPhones shipped to stores and a 19.2% market share; Oppo, with 2.8 million mobile phones sent to stores and a 5.6% market presence; and finally Realme, with 1.9 million devices shipped to stores and a 3.8% market ‘share’.
