Xinobi Live is the new confirmation for July 6th on the Heineken Stage of the 15th edition of the festival.
Xinobi is part of a generation of electronic music artists that grew up in the midst of the eruption of music blogs, fueled by the do-it-yourself ethic that the punk rock school brought him. Together with his friends Moullinex and Mr. Mitsuhirato, he created the influential Discotexas, an ever-changing publishing house and artist collective.
With editions in his Discotexas but also in Anjunadeep, Frau Blau, Radiant., Monaberry, TAU and MoBlack, he built a unique, diverse, and imaginative universe that allows him to circulate easily between the most orthodox House and Techno, but also escapes expected, for example, through classical music, as when he edited a rework of “Canon in D” by Pachelbel on Deutsche Grammophon or Fado as in the theme “Fado Para Esta Noite” with the fado singer Gisela João. The remixes he made for artists such as Moullinex, Awen, Joris Voorn, Adam Ten, O Terno, John Grant, Nicolas Jaar are also symptoms of his creative breadth that also led him to edit dozens of singles and three albums.
2014 was the year in which he made his long-term debut with 1975 in what can be considered a test of various house music aesthetics based on the influences that his passion for the soundtracks of Ennio Morricone and Angelo Badalamenti brings to him; But also in Jamaican Dub and 60s Surf.
In 2017 he released his second album On The Quiet from which the hit ‘Far Away Place’ came out in partnership with Vaarwell and a great underground anthem: “Searching For” which unites him with the poet Lazarusman. This disc tells a story about the transition of many musicians from punk rock to electronic music; from skateboarding to house music; and about how dance music can be a space for awareness and social debate.
In 2022 he released Balsame, an album that is based on idiosyncratic derivations of house music and that tells us about healing and joint construction; unity and communion, realistic utopias, equal rights, and peaceful perspectives for humanity.
2023 will serve as a more hardcore dance music-oriented time with 3 EPS ready to come out before the summer. “Anguilla Buella” in collaboration with Meta_, “Dinosaurs” and “Waiting for”.
