The duo y.azz x b-mywingz will present their new album ‘Cycles’, tomorrow, the 17th of September, at Titanic Sur Mer, in Lisbon.
‘Cycles’ is the cover letter from one of the most promising duos in Portuguese music in recent times, y.azz x b-mywingz. The album will finally be presented tomorrow, September 17th, at Titanic Sur Mer, in Lisbon, in a concert inserted in the Punch Magazine’s Punch Sessions.
y.azz x b-mywingz stood out in 2019 with a resounding victory in the sixth edition of the contest EDP Live Bands. The voice and stage presence of Mariana Prista (y.azz) and the intricate beats of Margarida Adão (b-mywingz) unanimously impressed the audience and the jury, and in a memorable debut year, the duo performed in two of the biggest stages in the Iberian Peninsula: the NOS Alive, in Portugal, and the Mad Cool, in Spain.
In 2021 they edit ‘Cycles’, the debut album which contains the singles ‘dis/closure’, ‘Did It All Again’, ‘Too Far’ and ‘These Days’. A work that fuses different soundscapes and that navigates somewhere between Pop, R&B, and Electronics. In it, y.azz x b-mywingz do not seek to be who they are not. The duo honestly and honestly looks at the problems of life, love, mental health, growth, and it is in the complementarity between these themes and the innovative compositions that the unusual quality of this project stands out.
