You can now follow people on Google Maps

Currently, Google Maps is undoubtedly the most used application for navigation, but it includes many additional features, such as offering business information and personalized recommendations.

The company is expanding the functionality of Google Maps and is now also a social network.

Google Maps users who have shared photos, reviews or lists publicly can be followed. The updated profiles are very similar to a Twitter or Facebook page, with a follow button and the number of followers that the account has.

After following a user, they will start to see their publications, recommendations and other information in the updates tab of the Maps application.
