Zeca Semper, the musical project that brings together the voices of Nuno Guerreiro (Ala dos Namorados), Olavo Bilac (Santos & Pecadores and Resistência) and Tozé Santos (Per7ume), with arrangements by producer Vitor Silva, in a tribute to musician and author José Afonso, 35 years after his death, is back on the road, for a summer tour that promises to be unstoppable.
The new look of the songs in the diversity of Zeca Afonso’s work and in the influences of his life path, combined with the vocal qualities of the performers, help to define this show.
Zeca Always, a genuine project, thus transports to the present the already current songs (in his own time) songs by Zeca Afonso, a notable composer of intervention music during one of the most troubled periods in recent Portuguese history.
With a musical language that is even closer to the sounds of today, “ Venham Mais Cinco”, ” O Que Faz Falta”, ” Redondo Vocábulo”, ” Menino do Bairro Negro” and ” Saudades de Coimbra” are some of the songs that make up “O Que Faz Falta” – Zeca Always first record, released in 2011 – which will be joined by two singles, carefully selected from their collection, and which will be part of the lineup for this year’s concerts.
For now, the first date of the show Zeca Semper is revealed, by Nuno Guerreiro, Olavo Bilac, Tozé Santos and Vitor Silva, on August 14, at O Sol da Caparica.
