Zoom announces encryption for all users
The company responsible for the videoconferencing service Zoom said that it will be able to offer encryption to all its users and not just to holders of a subscription.
Zoom had originally indicated that it only offered encryption to paying users only, a decision that would aim to strike a balance between privacy options and to collaborate with authorities if necessary.
The company says it has decided to accept requests from civil rights organizations and security experts to offer encryption to all its users.
