As he prepares to embark on his North American tour “The Songbook So Far Tour,” singer and songwriter Calum Scott gives us another reason to celebrate: “My World,” a romantic piano ballad with strings and an epic production.
Calum says: “‘My World’ is a new way of saying ‘I love you’ – it’s a return to ballads, with classic compositions, but with a new production that I’m very excited to share! Having toured stadiums with Ed Sheeran over the past nine months and particularly observing the emotional songs resonating with thousands of people around the world, I can’t wait to come back with something that I think my fans will love! I have also worked with new songwriters and I’m excited to continue exploring my diversity and see what else I am capable of!”
“My World” follows not only “Roots,” but also the dance-pop version of “Then There Was You” – which was the first single from “The Garfield Movie (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack)” – and “Lighthouse,” a love song accompanied by a breathtaking cinematic video. The recent series of singles has highlighted Calum’s more joyful side and pop sensibility, without sacrificing his talent for expressing deep feelings.
Last week, the musician began the “The Songbook So Far Tour,” which features songs from Calum’s debut album (gold record in 2018), from “Only Human” (which includes the hit “You Are The Reason” – which won five platinum records – and the cover of “Dancing On My Own” by Robyn – which has three platinum records), from the 2022 album “Bridges” (with touching hits like “Rise,” “Biblical,” and “If You Ever Change Your Mind”) and from his upcoming third album – the details of which he has not yet shared. Stay tuned as Calum Scott continues to reveal more about his world.
