Taxi conquered Casino Estoril

Last Friday, Taxi had the public roaring in the Salão Preto e Prata at Casino Estoril. The iconic band from Porto covered their numerous hits, including the timeless “Chiclete” and “Cairo” and also performed their most recent single “Não Mais”.

With a revivalist atmosphere, vocalist João Grande performed in his natural, electrifying style and with his usual complicity with the audience. Also highlighted were themes such as “Rosete”, “T.V.W.C.”, “É-Me Igual”, “Hipertensão”, “Não Sei Se Sei”, “Fio da Navalha”, “1, 2 Esq. Dir.”, “Às dos Flippers” “Taxi” and “Vida de Cão”.

One of the moments of the concert was the duet starring João Grande and Rute Flores who performed the song “O Meu Manequim”, one of the band’s classics and which was part of the first album released in 1981.

Applauded by the numerous fans, who showed up expressively at the Salão Preto e Prata, João Grande shared the stage with bassist Rui Taborda (from the original formation) and Jorge Loura and Nelson Santos on guitars, Hugo Pereira on drums and Rute Flores on voice (of the new generation).

Right after the concert, the Salão Preto e Prata transformed into a mega dance floor to host Festa 2 Catedral do Rock, which had DJ Cláudia Arauz as its main protagonist.
