With a program marked by diversity, artistic and acoustic quality and cultural decentralization, Misty Fest presents several shows, from Braga to Loulé, with some of the most inventive and award-winning contemporary creators, who bring in their luggage many of the most outstanding and challenging albums. of recent years. In November 2022, Lisa Gerrard and Jules Maxwell, from Dead Can Dance, debut, live their acclaimed album Burn with seven shows in Portugal that represent the start of the tour of this new work. The shows incorporated the seven stunning films by David Daniels, Jacob Chelkowski and Michal Sosna that were commissioned to accompany the album, and also include excerpts from Jules Maxwell’s solo ambient albums Nocturnes and Cycles to open the night.
Concerts in Lisbon and Porto have special guests
On the 21st of November, at the CCB, in Lisbon, Lisa Gerrard and Jules Maxwell will feature the multi-award-winning singer Lina. This participation comes after being invited to a collaborative project with the same team as Burn. On the other hand, Lina is also currently preparing the recording of her next solo album while she continues the tour with Raül Refree that has been going on for 2 years, with 80 concerts.
In the concert that will take place on the 23rd, at Casa da Música in Porto, the guests will be dancers from the Companhia de Dança Ballet do Douro. Alan Nascimento and Momoka Nagase will thus bring to life a choreography by Silvia Boga.
