418 units of blood. This was the number of collections carried out in Braga Parque, Oeiras Parque and Strada Outlet, as part of the 22nd edition of Blood Collection in Mundicenter shopping malls, whose motto was “Linked arms for a good cause”.
For 3 days, shopping malls challenged the population to make a difference, contributing and helping to save lives. 418 donors accepted the challenge, with 161 people donating blood for the first time in this initiative.
Arm in arm, Mundicenter and IPST joined forces, once again, in an act of generosity, through a campaign to encourage awareness of the importance of this solidarity and contribute to a greater good for society.
This initiative occurred at a time when reserves of some blood groups began to become scarce, further reinforcing their importance. For Mundicenter, it is crucial to develop this type of initiative, since shopping malls are places whose proximity to the population allows not only to raise awareness and alert people to the constant need for blood donation but also to facilitate the process.
