A correr 5800m, a atleta ugandesa ficou em 3º lugar nos Jogos da Commonwealth de 2014 e em 4º lugar no último campeonato do mundo (2019). Está qualificada para os Jogos Olímpicos em Tóquio que se vão realizar em julho e agosto.

Ugandan international athlete Winnie Nanyondo chose Portugal to prepare for the Tokyo Olympics. All logistics were organized by LGSP Sports by Lufthansa LGSP, and the athlete is doing her internship at the Vila Real de Santo António High Performance Center, which started on March 27 and will end on April 18.
Winnie Nanyondo, a medium distance runner, was born in Uganda on August 23, 1993, belongs to the Spanish team “Club Atletismo Playas Castellón“. This club was European Club Champion in 2015 and 2019. It is the best club in the history of athletics in Spain with 233 Spanish Club Champion titles.
Running 5800m, the Ugandan athlete was 3rd in the 2014 Commonwealth Games and 4th in the last world championship (2019). She is qualified for the Olympic Games in Tokyo to be held in July and August.
