Cálem cellars with a special offer for the deaf community until the end of November

On the occasion of the National Day of Portuguese Sign Language, which is marked on the 15th of November, the Cálem cellars will present, during this month, an offer specially dedicated to the deaf community.

Until the end of November, guided tours in sign language, a service that Cálem has provided since last year, may be accompanied by a premium Port wine tasting, consisting of tasting three different types of this historic wine (a White Dry + one LBV + one Porto 10 years), for a special price of €17 per person. This offer includes a private tour, including a visit to the brand’s museum and its iconic Port wine cellars, in the company of a guide and a professional interpreter, specialized in sign language.

Guided tours in sign language are one of Cálem’s differentiating services, which aims to make its offer as inclusive as possible: “Our ideal is to allow the experience we offer in our cellars to be within reach of the greatest number of people and that all of them are able to allow themselves to be captivated and involved by the discovery of this universe so unique to Port wine”, says Maria Manuel Ramos, tourism director of the Sogevinus group.

This service is the result of a partnership established with Hands to Discover, a platform dedicated to communication with the deaf community, and is available upon pre-reservation throughout the year. The offer with a special price until the end of November is exclusively aimed at groups (minimum: 15 people), subject to schedule availability.
