Duque Province brings new album to Casino Estoril

The Duque Province group will make their debut next Friday, June 23, at 10.30 pm, at Lounge D at Casino Estoril.

The quartet takes the stage to present their new album 2032, which includes romantic and nostalgic ballads such as “Tempo sem Ti”, “Chuva” or “Contigo é como” that seek to reach the hearts of those who listen to them. Entry is free.

The 2032 album also includes the ambitious and dense compositions “Cai-me a fica” “Silhueta” or “Vera Cruz” which reveal the group’s most introspective artistic and lyrical step.

It is in the writing of original songs that Duque Province finds a place in the Portuguese music scene. With a fresh approach to ‘indie-pop-rock’ sounds, the four youngsters accumulate fans who cannot spare praise for the band’s versatility and irreverence.

Founded at the end of 2018, the four young people have been cultivating the public’s interest through independently released singles, which have become the soundtrack for the summers and winters of Lisbon’s young people. With “school” in Beatles, Bowie, Eagles, Pink Floyd, and other big names in national and international music, the group improved its own sound, culminating in the recording of its album 2032, produced by António Vasconcelos Dias. The good energy, ease of composition, and friendship are what unites these four musicians.

The album 2032 cynically addresses the duality between looking to the future without forgetting the influences of the past. As they are part of a generation increasingly absent from the present, the band does not hesitate to point their energies to the next ten years, inviting the listener to join these four young people in their journey of discovering their own artistic identity that they are looking for and aims to bring something more to Portuguese music. With romantic and nostalgic ballads like “Tempo sem Ti”, “Chuva” or “Contigo é como” they try to reach the hearts of those who listen to them; with the ambitious and dense works “Cai-me a fica” “Silhueta” or “Vera-Cruz” they seek to mark their artistic and lyrical step more introspective and, of course – without forgetting the non-negotiable melodies that remain and, they hope, that they will remain forever.
