European roller hockey takes place in August
The 54th edition of the maximum European team event was scheduled for July 2020, in La Roche-sur-Yon, but it was extended for one year, with the French city abdicating the logistics organization, due to the effects of the pandemic context.
[dropcap]P[/dropcap]ortugal, continental vice-champion and record holder of trophies, with 21 gold medals, 14 silvers and nine bronzes, ahead of the 17 titles of Spain, current holder of the European scepter, was integrated in Group B, in addition to Italy, Belgium, Andorra and Germany.
The women’s European tournament was transferred to October 10th to 16th, remaining installed in Mealhada, Aveiro district, in a Portuguese organization that can be extended to the UEFA European Under-17 Championships (September 5th to September 11th) and women’s (December 16th to 19th).
The European roller hockey regulator also scheduled the men’s U19 European Championship between September 26 and October 2, in the Italian municipality of Follonica.
As for the Continental Cup of clubs, played in the format of ‘final four’ among the finalists of the European League, whose last edition was snatched by Sporting, and the European Cup, it is scheduled for 18 and 19 September, also with an undefined seat.
