Festival ‘Sons com História’ returns to Castelo de Vide in August
The festival will take place on the 21st and from the 27th to the 29th of August, in places considered emblematic of that Alentejo village.
Last year, the event was postponed due to the covid-19 pandemic, but this year, the organization wants to resume the initiative, whose kick-off, on August 21, will be given with a concert at Praça de Armas do Local castle, at 21:30.
Ana Quintans (soprano), Miguel Amaral (Portuguese guitar), and Diana Vinagre (cello) are the invited musicians of this first show.
According to the program, the Alma Ensemble training takes the stage on the 27th, at 9:30 pm, with a concert at the Igreja Matriz de Santa Maria da Devesa, in that municipality in the district of Portalegre.
The next day, at the same time, the churchyard of the Igreja Matriz de Santa Maria da Devesa hosts the “Gala da Ópera”, with Rita Marques (soprano), João Rodrigues (tenor), André Henriques (baritone) and the Academic Orchestra of the University of Lisbon.
Finally, on the 29th, at 12:00, the same church hosts a sung mass, led by the Alma Ensemble group.
