Maputo Fado Festival streaming from Casa de Amália

Fado singers Cuca Roseta, Fábia Rebordão and Sara Correia participate in the Maputo Fado Festival, in digital format, in honor of Amália Rodrigues, from the fado singer’s house, in Lisbon.

[dropcap]T[/dropcap]he Festival will be broadcast next Saturday, October 10, at 8:30 pm, local time in Maputo, from the Casa Museu Amália Rodrigues, similar to the Fado Festival in Latin America, which took place last Tuesday, when they passed 21 years on the death of the fado singer, which could be seen online and in rooms in Buenos Aires, Rio de Janeiro, Quito and Lima.

The Maputo program resumes the performances of the three fado singers and also includes a lecture by musicologist Rui Vieira Nery, author of the work “Para Uma História do Fado”, and the screening of the documentary “The Art of Amália” (2000), by Bruno de Almeida.

The poster is complete with Fábia Rebordão, cousin of Amália Rodrigues, who “many consider” having “the same hurt in her voice”, concludes the presentation of the festival.
