Popular Marches, Arraiais and Santo António open the Lisbon Festivities
The popular marches are the starting point of the Lisbon Festivities. Bairros de Lisboa performs before the public, over three nights at the MEO Arena (Friday, Saturday and Sunday, from 9 pm), revealing the costumes, music and choreography.
The Arraiais begin to occupy the streets and squares, spreading colour and joy throughout the city.
Between the 1st and 11th of June, Trezena de Santo António takes place with a varied program that will be divided between the Museum, the Church and Largo de Santo António.
This weekend, there are many more proposals not to be missed, such as the 6th anniversary of LU.CA, with the dance show Invite-moi, by Compagnie Pyramid (France), an exhibition at the Atelier-Museu Júlio Pomar, a guided tour at the Bordalo Pinheiro Museum and jazz at Largo do Picadeiro with the first of seven outdoor concerts in an initiative by Teatro São Luiz, with João Lopes Pereira programming.
