Netflix exceeded 200 million members
In 2020 Netflix had the biggest annual subscriber gain in its history, the result of the Covid-19 pandemic and the fact that quarantine and confinement periods forced people to stay at home longer.
The company now has 203.6 million subscribers, 36 million more than it had last year. Regarding earnings in the most recent quarter, Netflix indicates that it managed to add 8.5 million members to the service, almost four times what it was expecting.
Netflix added that ‘The Crown’ is, to date, its most-viewed series ever, pointing out that more than 100 million members have seen the historical drama. The company takes the opportunity to applaud the success of ‘The Queen’s Gambit’, which was seen by 62 million members in the first 28 days.
