The 15th edition of Misty Fest took to San Luis, Rocío Márquez y Bronquio, for a night of flamenco without dogmas, featuring the new generation of alternative, transgressive, and erudite flamenco.
This show is part of the Mostra España program, and it’s fantastic. Rocío Márquez and Bronquio are a fascinating combination that revitalized flamenco by merging it with contemporary and electronic elements.
Rocío Márquez is an Andalusian singer who despite her love of tradition manages to be one of the top voices of contemporary flamenco, combining rigour, creative vocation and interpretative audacity.
Márquez combines the flamenco tradition with a vanguard vision, creating a unique and personal sound. Her latest album, Tercer Cielo, in collaboration with Bronquio, is an example of how she’s taking flamenco to new heights.
Santi Bronquio brings his expertise in electronic production to create immersive atmospheres and innovative sound textures. The combination of Rocío’s voice with the production of Bronquio results in a perfect fusion between tradition and avant-garde.
Rocío Márquez and Bronquio have created a unique musical project that captivates the critics and the public. His work renews flamenco, making it accessible to new audiences without losing its essence.
