“The entire SIC and OPTO team is proud to bring the prestigious Tribeca Festival to Europe for the first time. Our main platforms will present the Tribeca Festival Lisboa with the same innovative spirit with which they were created”, said Francisco Pedro Balsemão, CEO of Impresa.

Carlos Moedas, Mayor of Lisbon, highlights: “Tribeca is a festival that fits into our cultural policy for the city, in which we create connections with the neighbourhoods, with the streets, with the people. Culture is not just made by great artists and big events. It’s something that comes from people. That’s the spirit of Tribeca.”

The festival will bring together artists and storytellers from around the world and attendees will be able to attend talks by some of Hollywood’s most acclaimed filmmakers and actors. “I love the way Tribeca highlights emerging talent from around the world,” said Jenkins. “I’m excited to join the festival in Lisbon, to share what I can, but also to immerse myself in Portuguese culture and cinema. I know it will be an incredibly inspiring and enriching experience.”
