Sporting wins against Boavista (2-0)
Sporting returned to the victories in the championship, beating Boavista in Bessa 2-0.
The lions, with goals from Nuno Santos (24′) and Pedro Porro (77′), continued to win the League Cup and guaranteed a safe lead in the derby with Benfica (in the next round of the championship), scheduled for February 1.
Rúben Amorim’s team now has 39 points, four more than FC Porto, opening a six-point advantage for Benfica, third place. Boavista, in turn, remains in last place, with 11 points.
